The traditional model
In a traditional Scrum team, the Product Owner is responsible for the “What?”. He acts as an expert for the business case. In their day-to-day work, they clarify requirements in direct dialog with customers and stakeholders. They then develop an optimal solution by working closely with UX designers, architects and technical teams.
In the next step, the product owner describes the developed solution for the developers in the form of tickets. These are further refined in discussions and the product owner answers queries to ensure that the developers have fully understood the use case.
Only then are the developers in a position to program and successfully implement the application.
Current observation - ChatGPT
We are currently observing two major changes in the market:

The availability of modern AI technologies such as ChatGPT has fundamentally changed the way many developers work. Instead of writing most of the source code themselves, developers give the AI instructions on what needs to be changed. The AI then takes over the creation and adaptation of the code.

Many companies are under strong cost pressure. Budgets are no longer as loose as they were a few years ago. As a result, less reliance is being placed on supposedly “expensive” external consulting services. At the same time, internal employees are increasingly being replaced by specialists from countries such as Romania, Bulgaria or Egypt.

The future solution - MVP from the product owner
This is how developers work with ChatGPT: They copy a component or function into ChatGPT, formulate an instruction for the desired change in natural language and then paste the changed code back into the project. They then check whether the change works as desired.
The exciting aspect here is that formulating the instructions in natural language is something that poses no challenge for us as product owners. Copying the component and checking the functionality, on the other hand, requires a certain basic technical understanding. What is fascinating, however, is that only a fraction of the technical know-how that was previously required is still needed.
This opens up a new possibility: product owners with basic knowledge of software development canmove independently from the business case to the finished MVP application. Of course, UX designers, architects and testers can continue to participate in the development process as usual.
The advantage of this approach is that it saves both time and money by making development processes significantly more efficient and requiring fewer resources.

On the first day of training, we deal with the context and the theoretical foundations.

Training day 2:
On the second day of the course, we apply the knowledge from the previous day in practice and create a fully functional application without programming a single line ourselves.
